Brett Kemp - Treasurer

Brett’s mother and father moved he and his brother to Midlothian back in 1977. He graduated from Midlothian High school and then from Tarleton State University with a B.B.A. in Accounting. He worked at Intuit, Inc for 12 years where his primary focus was managing teams of business consultants that worked with the nation’s top 1000 accounting firms to improve the end to end business processes and profitability for their small business clients. He has been certified in all versions of the QuickBooks line of products since 2002. He also received his Certificate of Mastery in Project Management from Villanova University and also has both his Green Belt and Black Belt certifications in Six Sigma Process Excellence.

In August of 2010 he moved his family to Midlothian and became the Vice-President at Roger A. Kemp CPA, P.C. His father stated this practice in Midlothian over 25 years ago. His first priority was to become an Ambassador with the chamber and to get involved with other organizations, like the Midlothian Downtown Business Association, who share and would welcome his passion for his home town.

He has been married to love of his life, Kimberly for 12 years and they have a 10 year old daughter named Riley. They attend Stonegate Church in Midlothian and like to spend time together on family outings.
