Meals-on-Wheels Golf Benefit is Full

The 23rd Annual Meals-on-Wheels Golf Benefit, set for September 16, at Cleburne Golf Links, is ready for the big day! “Our field is now full!” said Ike Vera, Golf Benefit Chairperson. The Benefit was limited to the first 66 teams to register, and registrations were accepted until the field was full, on a first come first served basis.

“Although our field is full, it is not too late to get your Raffle tickets, or still sign up as a Hole Sponsor of the Benefit,” said Amy Jackson, director of development for Meals-on-Wheels. This year, raffle tickets may be purchased in advanced for $5 each or 5 for $20 online at www.servingthechildrenofyesterday.org or by contacting Meals-on-Wheels. Prizes include round trip airfare anywhere Southwest flies, sporting event tickets including Dallas Cowboys and Rangers, and lots of other great items that may also be viewed online. “We also always need people willing to volunteer to work the event,” Jackson added. “We invite the entire community to come out and join us—whether you play golf or not! It’s a great way to be more involved in helping the elderly homebound in our community.”
